How to dress & the right footwear

All clean-up gear is being provided by the Bear Creek Stewards and Stop Oregon Litter and Vandalism (SOLVE). We ask participants to wear comfortable clothes and footwear (no open-toed shoes) appropriate for the kind of work and weather we will expect for the day.

Weather and temperature can vary: suggest wearing layers, with long pants to prevent abrasions and long sleeve light shirt to protect from plants and sunshine. Something warmer on top of your long sleeve shirt until the sun warms the air.

Maybe a light daypack for carrying water bottle and personal items needed during three hour morning.

Minimum age

The minimum age is 1 year old with an adult, and 13+ alone. If a participant is under the age of 18, there will be a minor waiver that needs to be filled out.

Safety issues

Be cautious of steep slopes, bodies of water, hazardous materials, needles, poison oak, camps, uneven or slippery ground, feces, etc.

Tools

All clean-up tools will be provided: gloves, bags, buckets, pick-up devices. Participants should return tools and equipment to their check-in booths.

Refreshments

Snacks and beverages will be provided at the check-in booths for all participants.
