By removing hazardous litter from the landscape, we make the community safer for everyone.

Registration & Check-in:

There are nine check in/out booth locations where participants can turn-in waiver forms and get clean-up supplies and materials, and turn-in clean-up items when they are done for the day.

1. Pine Street in Central Point. Parking available in the small parking area north of Pine Street (across from the Pilot Gas station).

2. South side of the intersection of McAndrews Road and the Bear Creek Greenway. Parking available at the Rogue Valley Mall north side of McAndrews Road.

3. Alba Drive (near Dairy Queen and the intersection of Barnett Road) at the entrance to the Bear Creek Greenway. Parking available at the Little League fields on Alba Drive.

4. Coyote Trails Nature Center Solar Pavilion (Rogue Credit Union). Parking available across Bear Creek at the U.S. Cellular Community Park Baseball Fields.

5. Hawthorne Park near the Bear Creek Greenway. Parking available off of Main Street in the parking lot.

6. Blue Heron Park (City of Phoenix). Parking available at Blue Heron Park.

7. Lynn Newbry Park (City of Talent).

8. Valley View Drive in North Ashland (City of Ashland, Rogue River Keeper).

9. Ashland Creek Park (Ashland Food Co-op). We are clearing blackberry bushes at this location.

Check-in 8:30-9:00 AM. Clean-up 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Participants should return tools and equipment to the check-in booths.

Steep Slopes, Water Body on Site, Hazardous Materials/Needles, Poison Oak, Uneven or Slippery Ground

How to dress and the right footwear:

All cleanup gear is being provided by the Bear Creek Stewards and Stop Oregon Litter and Vandalism (SOLVE). We ask participants to wear comfortable clothes and footwear (no open-toed shoes) appropriate for the kind of work and weather we will expect for the day.

Weather and temperature can vary: suggest wearing layers, with long pants to prevent abrasions and long sleeve light shirt to protect from plants and sunshine. Something warmer on top of your long sleeve shirt until the sun warms the air.

Maybe a light daypack for carrying water bottle, personal items needed during three hour morning.

Minimum age:

8 years old, accompanied by adult.


All clean-up tools will be provided: gloves, bags, buckets, pick-up devices. These items need to be returned to the check-in booths.


Snacks and beverages will be provided at the check-in booths for all participants.

At the intersection of Pine Street and Peninger Road, turn north and immediately turn into the parking area. Check in location will be located near the Greenway entrance.

From Highway 99 in Ashland, take East Hersey Street to Ashland Creek Park (27 East Hershey Street).

2215 OR 99, Ashland Oregon (Way station along Highway 99). Park along Highway 99 near the way station.

Otherwise there is parking about 2500 feet north of the way station along the Bear Creek Greenway and Highway 99.
